Jets Season At Early Crossroads
Just a couple of Thursdayโs ago, everything seemed so promising in the land of the New York Jets.
The team had just throttled the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
Aaron Rodgers didnโt look any bit like a 40 year old quarterback and had a triumphant return to Met Life Stadium a year removed from a torn Achilles.
The vibes around the beleaguered franchise were the best theyโve been in a while.
Until of course the following Sunday rolled around.
The Jets lost a game in the rain to the Denver Broncos they simply had no business losing. They followed that up with another loss, this time in London to the Minnesota Vikings.ย
Losing back to back games in the NFL is not the end of the world.
However, the good vibes that surrounded the Jets just two weeks ago have vanished.
Head Coach Robert Salehโs job performance and lack of success has been a sensitive subject to fans and media alike.
The Jets have looked once again like a poorly coached, undisciplined football team.
The running game that looked so promising in Week 2 against the Titans has been non existent for two straight games.
Breece Hall, everyoneโs fantasy darling from the summer time, has not come close to living up to expectations.
Also, lets not forget the elephant in the room.
The last two weeks, Aaron Rodgers has looked like a 40 year old quarterback.
Yes, thats the reality of Rodgers age, but the Jets need the version that we saw just a few weeks ago.
The Jets have been in a state of crisis the last two weeks and now face a major fork in tbe road moment of the 2024 season.
Their next opponent is the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills have won the AFC East every year since 2020.
The division goes through Buffalo until you have a reason to see otherwise.
Can the Jets despite their last two weeks, find a way to win and move into a first place tie?
Or will next week add to the frustration and negative drama thatโs been continuing to build.
Stay tuned Monday night…
