Mr. Rodgers 2025 Neighborhood – NY After All?

For the past two plus football seasons, Aaron Rodgers has dominated the football conversation in New York.

From the arrival, to the Achilles injury, to last years disappointing 5-12 campaign with the 2024 Jets, it was impossible to escape Aaron Rodgers.

Even this past winter, the first month of the year featured the debate within Jets land of should he stay or should he go.

Yes, we are on record here that this particular podcast/TV personality wanted Rodgers as a part of the 2025 Jets.

Yesterday’s news though, right?

The Jets are moving on. Rodgers is going elsewhere, so I’m sure some are wondering, JJ whats going on here? It’s not a weird Rodgers obsession, I promise.

The other team at Met Life Stadium is in the middle of a quarterback search.

The New York Giants currently have the third pick in the draft and make no mistake, I want them to go and select a quarterback.

Whether it would be with the third pick or moving up in the draft, the Giants need their QB of the future.  However, they also need to find a bridge QB for the 2025 season. So, how about Aaron Rodgers for one season?

The idea of your first round pick watching one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game sounds pretty appealing, no?

Worked out pretty well for Jordan Love in Green Bay. The Giants would be able to let their youngster absorb life in the NFL and the braintrust would have a better chance of putting a representative product on the field.

Especially if Rodgers performs the way he did in the final 6 weeks of the season. Considering the situation, I wouldn’t expect the Giants to be the first or second choice for Rodgers.

It makes way more sense for the Giants and I’m not surprised by their interest.

However, despite what you might hear otherwise. I like the idea of Aaron Rodgers in Big Blue for 2025.
