The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan and The Rockland Community Foundation are planning to merge once the State Attorney General grants approval.
โWe remain committed to providing excellent service to each of our component funds,โ said Orange-Sullivan Board President Chris Corallo. โThe merger will allow us to create even more opportunities for philanthropy and positive change throughout the region.โ
Orange-Sullivan President and CEO Elizabeth Rowley said Rockland Executive Director Julie Sadowski โwill be a wonderful addition to our staff team, as will the volunteer leaders joining our board of directors.โ
โBy joining forces, we are creating a more efficient and impactful organization that will serve not just Rockland but the entire Hudson Valley,โ said Sadowski.
Rockland Foundation President Paul Adler said by consolidating, they can โachieve economies of scale, streamline operations, and enhance efficiencies in grantmaking and community support.โ
