Garner Arts Center Revving up for Annual Arts Festival

A grist mill in existence since the mid-18th century has seen many changes in its 265-year history, from creating grain to producing fabric and assembling thousands of uniforms for Allied troops. Today, the factory complex on Railroad Avenue has been transformed into a hub for arts and culture in the Village of Garnerville and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Under the leadership of Robin Rosenberg and her staff, the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center continues to thrive and grow its list of offerings, including two new venues for weddings and other events.ย  During a recent mixer hosted by the Rockland Business Association at Hudsonโ€™s Mill, Rosenberg introduced her new Events Director, Chris Burns, who she credited with promoting the new venues and with inspiring new ideas to promote the iconic millworks.ย

Now, Rosenberg and staff are preparing for the historic siteโ€™s 2025 Arts Festival, scheduled for 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18. It will include a retro/vintage makerโ€™s market, open studios, Creekside music and a slew of local food and craft beverage offerings. For more information, visit www.garnerartscenter.org and be prepared for an amazing experience, rain or shine.
