A grist mill in existence since the mid-18th century has seen many changes in its 265-year history, from creating grain to producing fabric and assembling thousands of uniforms for Allied troops. Today, the factory complex on Railroad Avenue has been transformed into a hub for arts and culture in the Village of Garnerville and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Under the leadership of Robin Rosenberg and her staff, the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center continues to thrive and grow its list of offerings, including two new venues for weddings and other events.ย During a recent mixer hosted by the Rockland Business Association at Hudsonโs Mill, Rosenberg introduced her new Events Director, Chris Burns, who she credited with promoting the new venues and with inspiring new ideas to promote the iconic millworks.ย
Now, Rosenberg and staff are preparing for the historic siteโs 2025 Arts Festival, scheduled for 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18. It will include a retro/vintage makerโs market, open studios, Creekside music and a slew of local food and craft beverage offerings.
