76 Days Adrift | Saturday, May 3rd at 7:00 PM

The Lafayette Theatre is also proud to present a special one-night-only screening of 76 Days Adrift, offered in collaboration with The Nyack Boat Club and featuring an exclusive in-person appearance and Q&A with Executive Producer Robert Sennott. The powerful film will be shown Saturday, May 3rd at 7:00 PM.

Executive Producer Ang Lee and director Joe Wein give us an emotionally gripping documentary that plunges viewers into the real-life survival story of Steven Callahan, who spent over two months lost at sea after his sailboat collided with a whale in the Atlantic. Audiences will experience a rare behind-the-scenes perspective as Executive Producer Robert Sennott joins the audience for a special introduction and post-screening Q&A.

โ€œIn the endless sprawling waves of the Atlantic, 76 DAYS emerges as a breathtaking narrative that feels like it was dreamt from someoneโ€™s mind but, in reality, is a telling of the real story capturing Steven Callahanโ€™s extraordinary battle with time and the elements. Under Joe Weinโ€™s direction and accompanied by the haunting score by Patrick Stump, this documentary transcends its genre, telling a tale of human endurance, the profound solitude of the sea, and an indomitable spiritโ€™s journey through the depths of despair and back. Itโ€™s a film that tugs at the heartstrings while showcasing the sheer will to survive against all odds.โ€ Chris Jones of Overly Honest Reviews
