Following Tuesday night’s elections, Rockland County’s eight public school districts each announced that their operating budgets for fiscal year 2026 have been approved. The results of Tuesday’s vote are as follows.
– Clarkstown approved a budget of $265.3 and appointed John Maltibe and Christopher Conti to the school board
– East Ramapo passed $ 348.2 in funding and chose Sabrina Charles Pierre to represent Ward 2 of the district, Yitzchok Gruger to Ward 6, and Epharim Weissmandl to Ward 9
– Nanuet was funded $ 93.8 Million and will be represented by Sue Frisch and Ginna Apicella
– North Rockland approved a budget of $ 302.8 Million and appointed Robert Masiello to the school board. Voters also approved renovations to North Rockland High which are projected to cost 12.5 Million
– Nyack voted in favor of a $ 112.5 Million dollar budget with Jenifer Marca and Michael Mark chosen to fill the school boards open slots
– Pearl River will receive $ 88.2 million for 2026 and Denise Cauntiz and Patrica Reily will join the school board
– South Orangetown approved a budget of $ 115.2 million and appointed Steven Firn and John Savage to the school board
– Suffern’s operating budget of $ 170.5 million was approved, and Roxanne Bryan and Jason Andert were voted into the school board.
