While fall may not technically start until September 22nd, it seems many folks are more than ready for colorful leaves, hot mugs of cider, chunky sweaters and all things pumpkin. There may not be a better way to usher in this changing of the seasonal guard than with the Nyack Fall Street Fair.
This first fall street fair of the season will take place on September 7th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature over 200 vendors. The list of vendors run the gamut of all your street fair desires – from food to live entertainment to handmade goods, jewelry and home decor, there promises to be a little bit of something for everyone. Having so many of our local vendors in one place makes it easy to find the perfect unique hostess gift or birthday present surprise. It’s also never too early to get a jump on the holiday madness!Â
But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here. While everyone loves the holidays, that winter chill can surely hold off for a little while longer. Thankfully, the weather report for September 7th is predicting a gorgeous 73 degrees with mostly sunny skies and low humidity. While some may be excited for the coziness of fall activities, many Rocklanders are feeling more than happy to enjoy time outside after such a brutally hot summer. Following those sweaty days, every day under 85 degrees feels like a celebration best enjoyed outdoors.Â
Readers will find the Rockland County Times amongst the 200 plus vendors at the Nyack Street Fair. The team at the RCT is looking forward to meeting readers and community members alike, and welcome all attendees to come say hello. We will have plenty of recent papers with us as well as historical papers from our archives. Our Publisher, Managing Editor and Community Editor will all be at the booth, so if you’ve ever wanted to pitch us a story – now is your chance. Happy Fall!
