Clarkstown South High School’s Stars and Stripes Club alongside the West Nyack Fire Department will host an annual 9/11 Flag Planting Ceremony on its campus, planting 2,977 flags in honor of the victims of September 11th. This event will take place on Sunday, September 7, at 12:00 p.m. as the community comes together to foster a day of remembrance and unity.

Join us in Memorial Park on September 11, 2025 to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the terror attacks of 9-11. Service will be held on the pier, near the gazebo at 6:30 p.m., ending around 7:30 p.m. In case of rain, service will be held at the Nyack Center.

The Village of Suffern will be holding its Annual 9/11 Remembrance Candlelight Ceremony on Thursday, 9/11 at the Suffern Village Hall. A community BBQ will follow the Remembrance Ceremony. All are invited to attend.

The Village of Spring Valley warmly invites community members to join together for a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony as we honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

This solemn occasion provides an opportunity for our community to come together in reflection, remembrance, and unity. As we gather, we reaffirm our shared commitment to resilience and the enduring spirit of one nation under God. This event is free and open to the public. We encourage all community members to attend as we stand together in tribute to the memory of those we lost, the heroes who served, and the strength of our nation.

The Village of Sloatsburg will hold a memorial service on Thursday, September 11. This ceremony will be held at the Sloatsburg Community Fields Pavilion commencing at 6:30 p.m.. This is a day for reflection, prayer, and remembrance. The Village invites all residents to take part in this ceremony to remember the men and women that displayed the utmost courage and made the extreme sacrifice to help save others that fateful day. A small reception with light refreshments will follow.
