On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the SVPD conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered a loaded firearm from the vehicle. As a result, three men and one juvenile were arrested. All were residents of Spring Valley.
Later that day, at approximately 5:12 PM, the Spring Valley Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 2 Dutch Lane.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 20-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers immediately initiated CPR until emergency medical services (EMS) arrived on the scene.
The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Only six hours later, at approximately 11:57 PM, the Spring Valley Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Robert Pitt Drive.
Upon arrival, responding officers located numerous shell casings in the parking lot of 59 Robert Pitt Drive (Regency Village). A preliminary investigation revealed that multiple gunshots had struck several nearby occupied apartments and an unoccupied parked vehicle.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this time from the second incident.
