A Dart Throw for Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll

After three weeks of the 2025 season, a lot of the optimism that I had for the Giants had vanished quite quickly.

Three straight losses and two dud offensive performances will do that to you.

The Giants regime of GM Joe Schoen and Head Coach Brian Daboll had two cards to play this season.

The first card of Russell Wilson and instant Giant offense did not go according to script.

Wilson played poorly in two of the first three games this year and the team is not winning.

The Giants’ schedule is an absolute monster over the duration of the season.

My question all throughout the summer was when would the time be right to go to rookie Jaxson Dart?

This Tuesday, my question was answered.

It will be Dart on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The assignment won’t be an easy one. And guess what, there will be a lot of tough assignments for Dart over the next few months.

The Giants have two games with the Eagles, a game at Denver and matchups with the Packers, Lions and 49ers all before Thanksgiving.

Growing pains and rookie mistakes are inevitable for Dart, but the eye test will tell Giants fans everything when it comes to the future of the GM and Head Coach.

Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are out of cards to play.

Do they need Jaxson Dart to be a savior in the next few months? No.

Do they need Dart to show signs that the Giants have a dud as a  quarterback?

Better believe it.

The record of Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll would be worthy of dismissal with relative ease.

They need this quarterback to look the part.

He has the next few months to save their jobs.
