Last week, the RCT covered the Stony Point Family Diner and the safety issues that have been occurring as a result of the CHPE construction.
The DOT has responded to concerns by placing a barricade to prevent cars from going up the one way. This has forced cars to instead go out onto 9W rather than take their chances by zipping up the one way.
The barricade may not be perfect, but it has solved one safety issue, and we are happy to see that Archie’s concerns are receiving a response from DOT.
The semi truck situation has remained the same, with owner Archie stating that the cones are often knocked over or crushed by semis coming through the lane.
