Lawler puts in the work at Dee Maria’s Pizza and Pasta
Last week, Congressman Lawler joined the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and local small business owner Brian Duffy at Dee Maria’s Pizza and Pasta to highlight how pro-growth tax relief is helping Hudson Valley businesses thrive.
Lawler toured the family-owned restaurant, joined Duffy in handcrafting pizza, and sat down with NFIB representatives and employees to discuss the importance of making the Small Business Deduction permanent.
“Small businesses are the backbone of the Hudson Valley economy. In the working families’ tax cut bill, we provided real tax relief to our job creators. It also means more local jobs, stronger communities, and families who can count on the stability that comes with sustainable growth. I’ll continue working in Congress to make sure Main Street businesses in New York have the tools they need to succeed. I want to thank Brian at Dee Maria’s and our friends at NFIB for helping make this happen,” said Congressman Lawler.
According to NFIB, the Small Business Deduction, permanently extended in H.R. 1, has already helped create over 5,600 jobs and added $384 million in annual economic activity across New York’s 17th Congressional District.
