I’ll Take A Felony and a Misdemeanor for $3600

On October 3, 2025, at approximately 7:25 p.m., the Spring Valley PD responded to a report of a robbery at Total Wireless, located at 39 South Main Street.  

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that a male suspect  entered the store wearing a mask, brandished a knife, and demanded money. The victim complied, handing over more than $3,600 in cash from the register. The suspect then fled the scene.  

Following an investigation into the crime, the suspect was identified as Alex Orbe Jaramillo, a 32-year-old resident of Nanuet, NY. On October 6, 2025, Mr. Orbe Jaramillo was located and taken into custody by members of the SVPD. 

Mr. Orbe-Jaramillo was charged with Robbery 1st (Class B Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (Class A Misdemeanor). Bail was set at $10,000 cash, $15,000 bond, or a $25,000 partially secured  bond.  

It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
