This past weekend, Rockland was abuzz with Veterans Day ceremonies honoring all of those who have served in our nation’s military.Â
Pictured at the top is a picture from friend-of-the-paper Jeannine who captured a fantastic shot of the Congers Troop 29 of the Boy Scouts of America attending one such service held in Rockland. This particular event was hosted by the Veterans Memorial Association, or the VMA, and was held on Lake Road in Congers. The Scouts were in attendance alongside their Charter Rep John Battestin, who is in the second picture. To the left of Battestin is Father Joseph Narrisetty of St. Paul’s Church, who provided the invocation for the ceremony. Local Veteran Damien Shea of West Nyack and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9216 was the speaker for the event.Â
We at the RCT thank our Veterans for their service, today and every day.Â
