Rockland Students are Going to State!

Every year, students around New York State audition to perform at the state level before a panel of judges and peers. The requirements to be accepted to All State are intensive, and adjudicators grade student musicians on categories such as technique, accuracy, interpretation, and sight reading skills, where never-before-seen music is placed in front of a student with a quick turnaround.

The best of the best are then selected to perform at the New Yorks State School Music Association Festival. This year, Rockland is set to be represented by 15 talented musicians who will be sharing their musical skills at the NYSSMA Festival from December 4th to December 7th at the historic Eastman Theater, amongst 800 other NY students.

Congratulations to these young musicians on all their hard work representing Rockland! Good luck and break legs!
