In the true spirit of the season of giving, the administrative team from Northern Manor Multicare Centre, led by Director of Nursing Rosemarie Calcano, alongside Administrator Eitan Nat and the administrative team, stepped beyond the facility to serve some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
The team recently visited the Spring Valley Train Station, where many individuals experiencing homelessness seek shelter. With warm meals and open hearts, they offered food, compassion, and human connection to those in need.
One woman shared that the meal was the first food she had eaten all day, while another expressed that the team’s presence felt like that of angels arriving when they were most needed. These moments served as a powerful reminder that behind every face is a story and a need to be seen and cared for.
For the Northern Manor team, the outreach was more than charity—it was an opportunity to give back, reflect, and stand in solidarity with neighbors during a challenging time of year. Even small gestures, such as a warm meal, can restore hope.
As part of the season of giving, Northern Manor also recognized its own staff. The administrative team visited every unit, sharing cake, coffee, and hot chocolate as a thank-you for their dedication and compassion.
At Northern Manor Long Term Care Center, caring extends beyond its walls, into the community and to those who serve every day.
