During the annual Town Board reorganization meeting last night Town of Clarkstown officials were sworn in to office at a public ceremony. The following officials took the ceremonial oath of office: Supervisor George Hoehmann, Ward 1 Councilman Jon Valentino, Ward 1 Councilman Mike Graziano, Ward 3 Councilman Don Franchino, Ward 4 Councilman Bob Axelrod, Highway Superintendent Bob Milone, and Town Clerk Lauren Marie Wohl.
Clarkstown Police Chaplain David Lothrop, presided over the ceremony while volunteers from the Clarkstown Police Honor Guard conducted the presentation of colors. The Clarkstown South High School Troubadours performed “God Bless America” and a winter musical selection.
Each official was joined by their family at the podium to congratulate and show support for beginning their terms to proudly serve the residents. Many government officials, school leaders, community and business leaders attended the ceremony.

Supervisor George Hoehmann stated, “It continues to be an honor of a lifetime to serve as Supervisor of Clarkstown. Working with our town board and elected officials my focus will remain on ensuring Clarkstown is a community where all can live, work, raise a family, and prosper. Clarkstown government has an ambitious agenda to keep delivering real results for our residents and I am deeply honored by the trust placed in me to do so for another term.”

Councilman Jon Valentino stated, “Thank you to Ward 1 residents for electing me to serve you this year. My commitment to you is to work each day to better our Ward, protect taxpayers, and keep our community safe. Please do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of assistance to you.”
Councilman Mike Graziano stated, “Serving as your Ward 2 councilman is a great privilege and honor. The Clarkstown Town Board has achieved much success during my time of service and we continue to serve all residents of our town.”
Councilman Don Franchino stated, “I am ready to get to work serving another term as Councilman for Ward 3. I am always available for any resident in need of assistance or looking to advance new ideas for our town. I look forward to seeing my constituents around the community this upcoming year as the Town Board works to achieve historic success for taxpayers of our great town.”
Councilman Bob Axelrod stated, “I am honored for the opportunity to serve the people of Clarkstown again. Thank you to the residents of Ward 4 for electing me to represent them on the board and to continue to work on the issues that make Clarkstown such a wonderful town to live.”
Town Clerk Lauren Marie Wohl stated, “Thank you Clarkstown voters for electing me to serve another term as your Town Clerk. In this new term, my staff and I will continue to strive to provide you top tier service and look for innovative ways to increase services while saving taxpayers money.”
