On December 25, 2025, the Spring Valley Police Department responded to a residence on Wolfe Drive for a report of a past burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that his home had been forcibly entered while he was not present. Approximately $25,000 worth of property was stolen. Â
Members of the Spring Valley Detective Bureau were assigned to the investigation. Through an immediate and thorough investigation, detectives identified and arrested two suspects on January 4, 2026. The suspects were identified as 46-year-old Marvin Lorenzo-Hernandez of Ramapo and 37-year-old Anderson Martinez-Ruano of Spring Valley. The victim’s stolen property was recovered during the course of the investigation. Â
Both suspects were charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (C felony), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree (D felony), Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (D felony), and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (A misdemeanor). Â
Mr. Lorenzo-Hernandez and Mr. Martinez-Ruano were arraigned in the Spring Valley Justice Court before the Honorable Judge Mellion and were released on their own recognizance. Â

A criminal complaint is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Â
