All In with John Jastremski
Week 18 has become a day of celebration in New York Sports.
When I say celebration, I really mean relief.
For the better part of the past decade plus, it has been a relief to see the NY Football season come to an end.
Look, nobody loves the NFL season more than me!
I live for the 18 regular season Sunday’s plus all the playoff games, but its impossible to ignore reality.
New York Football has been as painful as it gets for a long, long time.
In a league that is set up for parity, a league that is set up for surprise and turnaround seasons at the blink of an eye, NY Football has bucked the trend.
Since the start of the 2012 season, with two teams in the same city, we have a combined total of 3 winning seasons and 2 playoff appearances.
Think about that for a minute, 14 years of football.
3 winning seasons.
I would love to tell you that it’s going to be better next season.
I really would.
Yes, the Jets have a zillion picks.
We’ve been here before right?
Sure, the Giants are about hire a new head coach.
Yes, I really like Jaxson Dart and you can sell me on some building blocks within the roster.
Wonderful, been there done that with selling Giant optimism.
The bottom line for NY Football fans is this.
We are tired of selling hope.
Win games. Be relevant. Give us a season that matters in December.
Then you can sell this disgruntled podcast host on hope!
