Fatal Pedestrian Accident in West Nyack

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at approximately 5:25 p.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Route 303, in the area of 81 North Route 303, in West Nyack. 

Preliminary investigation indicates that an adult male pedestrian was within the southbound lane of Route 303 when he was struck by a vehicle and was subsequently struck by a secondary vehicle in the northbound lane. Both vehicle operators remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation. 

The pedestrian was identified as Joseph Signorini, age 41, of Congers, New York, and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medical personnel. The Clarkstown Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
