SVPD Locate Missing Teen

On January 14, 2026, the Spring Valley Police Department received a report  of a missing 16-year-old female after she failed to return home from school.  Information was received that the missing teen may have willingly taken a taxi  to Brooklyn, NY, and was avoiding efforts to be located.  

The case was assigned to the Detective Bureau and with the assistance of  the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the NYPD, the missing teen was safely located  in the confines of the 83rd precinct in Brooklyn, NY, and reunited with her  family on February 11, 2026.
