New Games and More at Bounce!

I had the pleasure of visiting Bounce! Trampoline Sports this past Thursday afternoon. The visit flooded my memory with nostalgic images of the many birthday parties I went to as a kid and the countless rainy days I spent there when the playground wasn’t an option. Immediatley, I noticed things were different from the last time I had been to Bounce! New arcade games had been added, an obstacle course ahd been installed, and much more.

For those unaware, Bounce! is an indoor trampoline park located in New City, off of route 303. They offer arcade games, prizes, trampoline games like basketball and dodge ball, and a space for parents to sit down, unwind, and maybe get some work done. Joel, one of the staff members at Bounce!, was kind enough to give me a tour of the facility and to let me try as many of the arcade games as I wanted. One of their newest machines is a driving simulator featuring hydraulics and three screens that fully immerse you in the game. For younger patrons, there was a row of arcade construction cranes that let you dig around in a trough of sand for various prizes.

Bounce! offers monthly memberships giving you access to the arcade, rock wall, and of course, jump time. On Friday and Saturday nights from 7 pm to 9 pm they host glow nights, where the entire facility is lit up under black lights, causing everything to glow in the dark. The space is also a great place to host a birthday party, with five designated party rooms that also feature black lights.

My personal favorite arcade games were the aforementioned driving simulator, the Halo shoot ‘em up game, and Skee-Ball. The new obstacle course was also a treat, though I was pretty bad at it in the moment and definitely embarrassed myself in front of Joel. With the March weather acting in the way it always does, with bright sunny days and cloudy snowfall occurring within days, even hours of each other, spending a day at Bounce! is always a safe bet. Rain or shine the trampoline park remains open, and with spring break just around the corner, I can’t think of a better place to spend an afternoon, especially if you’re a parent with kids who need to get that energy out.
