Isabella Sullivan, Senior Recreation Leader for Clarkstown, has created the first ever Prom Dress Drive for Clarkstown. In just 10 days, the town has collected over 50 prom dresses, alngside the help of Jeannine Valentine, Recreation Supervisor.
Sullivan said that at Clarkstown, employees are encouraged to develop fresh ideas. She was just married one month ago, and having seen the success of Bill Weber’s Coat Drive, she decided to create the initiative with her bridesmaid’s dresses.
“So many of them could get reused instead of just going to the landfill… and of course just give a chance for other girls to have the dresses without any of the financial barriers,” Sullivan said.
