Juveniles Break Into Stony Point Business

On March 28, 2026, at approximately 12:05 AM, the Stony Point Police Department received a call from a local business owner who reported seeing several subjects, via remote security cameras, wearing hoods and face masks inside and around his storage area at a warehouse in Stony Point. The first officers arrived on scene and observed an unoccupied vehicle at the entrance to the property out of sight from the building. The officers located one male subject outside of the warehouse and observed another subject  running from the scene into a wooded area, a description of the subject was radioed to responding officers. While on scene searching the area, the officers located property that was removed from the business and a black face mask. Two male subjects attempted to flee the area in a vehicle and were apprehended a short  distance away from the scene. Two more male subjects were located and arrested in the vicinity of the  warehouse shortly after the incident.

Stony Point Detectives arrived and were able to obtain the security video from the victim showing the subjects inside the location and leaving with several items. The detectives interviewed the arrested subjects  and were able to obtain confessions from all involved. The juveniles’ parents were notified and at the station during the arrest process. During the investigation the Detectives were able to identify two of the above listed 18-year-olds and one 17-year-old as the suspects from a previous burglary at the same location that  occurred on March 22, 2026, at approximately 12:50 AM. Those defendants were also charged for that  incident.

Rockland County Sheriff’s BCI assisted at the scene with processing and recovering evidence. The Stony Point Police Department was also assisted by the Haverstraw Police Department (K-9 on scene), RC Sheriff’s Office, RC Sheriff’s Intel Division, NY State Police, NYS Park Police, and FBI Safe Streets Task  Force. The multi-agency response assisted in the search and apprehension of all five subjects involved.
