Tender Steps of New York has announced the 2026 High School Scholarships, four of which are Rockland Students. Congratulations, Rockland scholars!
The nonprofit TSONY will soon hold its 12th Annual Visionary Luncheon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Suffern, located at 3 Executive Boulevard, Suffern, NY 10901.
Since its founding in 2014 by Evelyn Bautista-Miller, TSONY, Inc., Certified Bilingual LMSW & SDA. TSONY, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been committed to improving social conditions that impact individuals, families, and communities. The organization focuses on addressing inequities in education, challenges posed by language barriers, and concerns surrounding citizenship status. TSONY serves families throughout Rockland County and New York City. TSONY’s vision is to empower the next generation of leaders by fostering personal growth, community collaboration, and educational excellence. They focus on mentoring youth, providing critical resources, and driving impactful change in Rockland County and New York City. Through partnerships and community engagement, TSONY strives to build a brighter future for communities, ensuring every young person and family has the support they need to thrive.
This year’s theme of the lunch is “GEMS: Growth, Engagement, and Mentorship leads to Success, highlights the importance of empowering youth and community members through guidance and opportunity. Proceeds from the luncheon support TSONY’s community programs, including five scholarships for deserving high school seniors.
The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Sagrario Rudecindo-O’Neill. The 2026 Honorees are Jorge L. Folch, Doria E. Hillsman, Helen Hostin, MD, FACOG, Shirley Mangan, Marc L. Rossman, Janelle Simpson-Luna, and Honorable Dana G. Stilley, PhD.
