Brief Tattoo Removal, Rockland County’s first and only physician-led laser tattoo removal clinic founded by Dr. James Brief, a board-certified physician, and his sister Joanna Brief, a local entrepreneur, both born and raised in the Nyacks. The business will celebrate its grand opening on May 2 with a public ribbon-cutting event featuring music, refreshments, promotions, and a raffle for attendees.

While the business itself is new, its roots in Nyack run deep.

“This isn’t just another opening for us,” said Dr. James Brief. “My family has been here for over 50 years, with four Dr. Briefs providing medical treatment to the community. This is where we’ve built our lives, and opening something here carries a different level of meaning.”

The event will include live music performed by local musicians Ray Levier, Kara Cavanaugh, David Kopec, Tim Santos, and Brian Purwan, adding to the community-focused feel of the celebration.
