Tourism Grant Winners Announced

County Executive Ed Day and Director of Economic Development and Tourism Jenna Nazario have announced that 17 organizations from around Rockland will be receiving a total of  approximately $178,000 in tourism promotion grants for 2026.

Tourism is a critical tool in reducing yearly taxes. On average, tourism knocks off around $675 from the average property taxes. 

The Tourism Grant Recipients are as follows: 

Visit Nyack $15,000

  • A collaboration of civic, business and non-profit organizations who work to create and promote a positive image of Nyack and local economic strength

Nanuet Chamber $18,000

  • A network dedicated to improving and supporting the businesses and economic and social environment of Nanuet

Phoenix Ensemble $8,000

  • A non-profit theatre organization performing classical canon alongside new adaptations. Focused on a diverse company of artists

Community Farm Network $10,000

  • Aims to provide sustainable agriculture practices while fostering education and community engagement, promote awareness of regenerative farming, environmental stewardship, and healthy living.

NY Boulders $20,000

  • New York Boulders staff proactively seeks out opportunity to create and maintain a family-oriented environment at Clover Stadium.

Emotions Physical Theatre $5,000

  • Emotions Physical Theatre, is deeply committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of their artistic work. 

Friends of Harmony Hall $11,000

  • A nonprofit working with the Town of Ramapo to research and document the history of the Sloat family and estate, implementing artistic and educational activities 

Hope Wade Designs $4,000

  • A custom design fashion house The design house produces lingerie, casual wear, African designs and elegant evening gowns. 

RCC Culinary $15,000

  • A culinary educational center that focuses on strengthening agro-tourism in the Hudson Valley area. 

Roundtable Brewery $15,000

  • A Garnerville brewery that endeavors to be “a gathering place for people from all walks of life”

United Latin Festival $8,000

  • A yearly celebration of Latin culture, heritage, and spirit

Pearl River Chamber $15,000

  • A network dedicated to improving and supporting the businesses and economic and social aspects of Pearl River

She Got Buckets $12,000

  • A non-profit basketball league for Asian women 

RCC Cultural Arts Center $22,000

  • A venue for RCC to host plays, musicals and concerts, as well as rent out to community groups
