Auditions Scheduled for Hudson Teen Theatre’s Production of “Rent” — Pre-Registration Required

Auditions for Hudson Teen Theatre’s production of “Rent” will be June 26, 7 p.m., in the cafeteria of Clarkstown South High School.

The show will be directed and choreographed by Randy Accardi who has directed many plays at Antrim Playhouse including “Grease” and “Cabaret.” “Rent” is part of the Hudson Valley Teen Summer Theatre program which has a professional staff and a variety of schools already represented.

Students ages 13 to 19 are eligible to pre-register for the summer theatre program and can get information at 845-548-1656 or visit the website www.hvtst.org.

Auditioning will be for principal roles and organized via singing abilities. Characters and their singing range include: Mimi-Alto, Angel-Tenor, Joanne-Alto, Maureen- Belter, Roger- Tenor, Benny-Tenor, Mark-Tenor, Tom- Baritone and a variety of other roles.

Performance dates for “Rent” are August 10, 11 and 12 at the fully air conditioned Clarkstown South High School auditorium. “Rent School Edition” is being presented by special arrangement with MTI Shows. Hudson Valley Teen Summer Theatre is a 501c3 Not For Profit organization.
