The annual Stony Point Seals Polar Plunge is coming into high gear. This year victims of Hurricane Sandy will be the beneficiaries of the popular charity event which attracts hundreds to plunge into the icy Hudson River on Super Bowl Sunday.
It is appropriate that Hurricane Sandy victims will benefit from the event as it is held at the Grassy Point Seawall on Beach Road in Stony Point, perhaps the hardest hit area in all of Rockland County. The event starts at noon on February 3, Super Sunday
