KOHUT CALLS ON WATSON TO TAKE A LEAVE OR RESIGN

Haverstraw Village Mayor Michael Kohut released the following statement upon learning of the charges the Rockland County DA’s Office has filed against Village Trustee Tom Watson:

“Although I am not fully briefed on the details, I am very troubled by the allegations. I feel bad for Trustee Watson’s situation, and particularly for his family. He needs to concentrate on his defense and his family at this time.

“I think it is best for everyone concerned that he step aside from his position at the very least, or step down. The village deserves a trustee who can devote themselves fully to their jobs without being consumed with personal issues as serious as this.”
