Town council candidate Edward Onderdonk (D) and County Legislator Doug Jobson Jr. (R) sing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” at a Memorial Day event held at Stony Point Ambulance Corps. During the event Ambulance Corps board member John Orfini explained that Memorial Day began in 1868 as Decoration Day when families of fallen confederate and union soldiers decorated the graves of their loved ones.
