Jakub Spisak, a foreign exchange student at Ramapo High School, won for best Acting Performance in the Metropolitan High School Theatre Awards ceremony given out at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theatre In Peekskill Monday. Gregory DeCola, who played Herbert Parchester in Tappan Zee High School’s “Me and My Girl,” and Eileen O’Connor, who played Tess in “Crazy For You at Ramsey, N.J. High School, tied for the Featured Ensemble member Metro. Alec Tucker who played Bill Snibson in Tappan Zee High School’s “Me And My Girl” won for best Comic Performance, Dennis Predovic won for best Secenic Design in Rockland Country Day School’s “Into The Woods.”

A one -night performance in memory of the late Dorina DiLullo, who appeared in many Westchester Broadway Theatre productions, is scheduled at the Theatre June 17 at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Dorina DiLullo Memorial Trust set up to lend aid to her children and loved ones in the wake of her passing. Performers will recreate many of Dorinas roles that she performed and musicians will recreate a rock band that Dorina sang with at Saw Mill Theatre. Borderline Music Club has rescheduled the Mara Levine concert for Sunday June 23 at the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps building in New City. Mara’s new CD was #1 on the Folk DJ Chart for January. Talented friends of Mara’s, Stu Markus, Hillary Foxsong, Gerry McKevenly, Caroline Cutroneo, Bob Harris, Bob Wright, Loretta Hagen, Terry Rivel, Terry Kitchen, Mike Agranoff, Rusty and Jan, Barbara Novick and Renee Paddock will also perform at the event from 2 to 5 p.m. Tickets and information at 845-354-4586.

The Rockland County Choral Society is conducting a Summer Sings series in celebration of it’s 75 years of operation in Rockland County.
