United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on Saturday announced her endorsement of Democrat David Fried for Rockland County Executive.
“David Fried is a dedicated public servant,” said Senator Gillibrand. “His experience as a judge shows he has the integrity to make the tough decisions to tackle Rockland’s fiscal crisis. I’m proud to join my friends, Congresswoman Nita Lowey and former President Bill Clinton, in supporting David Fried for County Executive.”
Gillibrand cited Fried’s plan to reduce the county executive’s salary, shrink the size of the legislature, and reorganize government to make it more efficient, for her joining other New York leaders supporting David Fried’s campaign, including: Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee, Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski, Assemblyman James Skoufis, the Rockland County Corrections Officers, and the Spring Valley Police Benevolent Association, among others.
“I’m honored to have the support of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand,” said David Fried. “Senator Gillibrand is a tireless advocate for Rockland County and New York State. It’s critical the next county executive have positive relationships with our federal and state legislative representatives. I look forward to working with Senator Gillibrand and her office in helping lead Rockland forward.”
