Nyack Hospital Chaplain Dies from Severe Burns

Rev. David Wentroble, pastoral care director for Nyack Hospital, perished Tuesday evening, one month after he was severely burned by a gas station pump explosion in Danbury, Conn. near his home.

Wentroble had been placed in a medically-induced coma at Bridgeport Hospital (Conn.) following the Dec. 20 tragedy, which occurred at “Wheels Citgo” in Danbury.

The 60-year-old chaplain had worked at Nyack Hospital for 13 years. As yet, police have not found a specific cause for the accident.
