Zebrowski Calls for Common Core Delay

Statement from Assemblyman Kenneth Zebrowski

“The Assembly Majority, through Speaker Silver and Chairwoman Catherine Nolan, issued a statement calling for the delay of testing based on Common Core standards for at least two years. As I have met with administrators, educators, and parents over these past several months, I have heard their concerns regarding the roll-out of Common Core, and I echo my colleagues call for a delay. Until there is certainty and confidence in these standards, teacher and student evaluations should not be based on them. This delay will allow for State Ed to take the time to develop an appropriate and successful curriculum that satisfies both teachers and students.”

Don’t delay it, try to fix it after it’s in place. Just like they did with the NY Safe Act.
    Seems legit…
