Rockland Success Team is holding their Annual “What’s Cool” conference, which will be presented on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 12 to 1:30 pm at the Finkelstein Memorial Library, in the Fielding Room at 24 Chestnut Street in Spring Valley NY.
It will be hosted by the Rockland Success Teams/Mental Health Association, the AAUW (American Association of University Women – RC Branch) and POW’R Against Tobacco.
The conference will be presented by Marcella Amorese-Assistant Director of Children and Family Services and Patricia Lopez, What’s Cool Conference Originator.
“Can You Have It All?” is the focus of the conference which will consist of a speaker, Beverly Cooper, open discussion and skits to teach young women about values, self-esteem, careers, college, relationships and challenges/opportunities.
All Rockland County girls, grades 7 to 12 are invited. Refreshments will be served. Community service credit will be given to participants.
Contributors to our conference include Finklestein Library, POW’R Against Tobacco, Dominos, News12, Hudson Health Plan, Journal News, Old Navy, GAP, Aeropostale, Sports Authority, Clarks, Rockland County Dept of Health and Dunkin Donuts.
Space is limited to first 100 arrivals, so plan to arrive by 11:30 a.m. to ensure a spot.
