Hi-Tor Animal Shelter has announced that, to be more accessible to the public and volunteers, it is extending its hours of operation. Beginning Monday, May 12, 2014, the animal shelter will be open to the public on the following schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 12 – 6:30 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Closed (except to volunteers)

As in the past, volunteers will have access to the shelter before and after public hours.

“We want to make it easier for people to come to the shelter and be part of the Hi-Tor community,” said Lizanne Fiorentino, President, Hi-Tor’s Board of Directors. “With these schedule changes, we hope more Hi-Tor friends will volunteer with us — and of course consider adopting one of our wonderful animals.”

The shelter is located at 65 Firemen’s Memorial Dr., Pomona, NY 10970.
