Love craft beers, specialty deli items or just need to pick up a container of milk? Dawn Herschko and Harvey Weissman have combined all of that and more at their new home away from home on South Broadway.

The Playhouse Market, which was vacant for years, has been restored and is now in its glory after a $3.5 million investment. Now, youโ€™ll a combination of food, drink and art all under one roof.

โ€œThis is super exciting for Nyack,โ€ said Andy Stewart, town of Orangetown supervisor, also a resident of Nyack. โ€œIโ€™m really glad to see something finally hereโ€”the site has been vacant for so long, and Dawn and Harvey have turned it into something special.โ€

The delightful โ€œdeliโ€ has a bar, tables and will partner with Rockland Center for the Arts to bring music and local artistsโ€™ work to the Market. โ€œWe love the idea of bringing something unique to Nyack,โ€ aid Herschko. โ€œIt was a big investment, but we believe in the village.โ€

So does Stewart. โ€œIโ€™m sure people will be visiting Nyack to watch the new Tappan Zee bridge being built, but when itโ€™s done, the bikersโ€™ path is going to bring a lot of new tourism to Nyack.โ€
