101st NJ-NY VOLUNTEER FIREMAN’S ASS. CONVENTION HELD

The New Jersey & New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association held their 101st annual convention at Cresskill N.J. on Friday, June 6 with members from both Rockland and Bergen Counties in attendance. Nick Gatti (past chief Piermont Fire Department) was elected president of the interstate association succeeding Robert Kirsch (past chief Bergenfield N.J. Fire Department) after his two-year term. Jerry Richardson (Excelsior Engine Pearl River) was elected to the association board of trustees. Danielle Lorraine Armaniaco of Blauvelt was one of the NJ-NY Scholarships, she was sponsored by NJ-NY Officer Peter DeVries and her father Victor Armaniaco active with the Blauvelt Fire Company. Danielle will be attending the State University of New York majoring in mathematics
