Folkster Roger Sprung will lead a non-stop bluegrass jam in honor of Pete Seeger at Germonds Park, August 24 from noon to 6 p.m.
Members of the Borderline Folk Music Club are gathering to hear a bevy of entertainers pay tribute to Pete Seeger including James Durst with Madhumita Chakrabartti, Maria Levine, Loretta and Gary Hagen, Josh Joffen, Anne Price, Dan Einbender, Pat LaManna, Marybeth D’Amico, Jeff Scroggins, Larry Kolker, Chris Brown, Michael Scolnick, Jim Colbert, Maggie Selgman and Stout.
Co-sponsoring the event is the the Town of Clarkstown, the Folk Society of New York, AccousticMusicMachine and Folk Music Society of Huntington. There will be a Pete Seeger workshop and attendees are urged to bring blankets and chairs and your own food. Admission is free.
