Breaking: ATM heist at Smiley Food Mart, Pearl River

An ATM machine was stolen overnight from Smiley Food Mart in Pearl River, a quarter mile south of the Pfizer plant, 327 N. Middletown Rd.

Police did not offer details on the investigation other than to acknowledge there was a theft in the store related to the ATM machine. Smiley Food Mart was closed this morning for several hours before reopening.
