A pick-up truck smashed into the Cove Deli in Tomkins Cove this afternoon
A pick-up truck smashed into other vehicles which then smashed into the Cove Deli in Tomkins Cove this afternoon.ย This is the second time in the past two years that a vehicle has caused damage to the popular North Rockland eatery.ย There was one minor injury in the store, which did not require a trip to the hospital, but the driver of the pick-up truck was thought to be in serious condition. The police told the Rockland County Times that the driver of the crashed vehicle had lost consciousness for unknown reasons. An earlier report that the driver had suffered a heart attack remains unconfirmed. Police also said the shop owner indicated he plans to reopen Cove Deli ASAP.
