A group of eight wounded US veterans have shown others that recovery is possible during this year’s annual Road Warrior Ride. The organization advances “adventure therapy” as a means of finding new health following trauma or illness.
The Road Warrior Ride stopped at Bear Mountain Inn on Saturday and the Rockland County Times had a chance to catch up with some of the heroes. NYFD bagpipers performed and numerous military veteran, police and fire department escorts were out in support.
The veterans are riding Can-Am Spyders from Sherbrooke, Quebec all the way to Key West, Florida, over 2,000 miles and eight days.
