Five Rockland School Districts Rank Among State’s Best

Five Rockland County school districts are among the 100 best in New York, according to the education website Niche.

Ramapo Central, with seven schools in its district, drew an A+ ranking from Niche to draw the No. 36 ranking. South Orangetown Central, with a total of five schools in the district, earned an A rating and a No. 46 ranking.

Clarkstown Central, with a total of 16 schools in the district, picked up an A grade and was ranked No. 55.

Nanuet Union Free, with four schools, received an A grade and was ranked No. 71.

Nyack Union Free, also with four schools in its district, was ranked No. 83, and also received an A grade.

Niche grades districts on criteria including test scores, graduation rate and student to teacher ratio, among other factors.
