Rockland’s national breakout sensation, Grace Vanderwaal, will takeย center stage for a free concert at the Lafayette Theater Saturday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m.
Grace isย a 12-year-old resident of Suffern, NY and has captured hearts worldwide as she auditioned onย NBCโs “Americaโs Got Talent”ย in early June. The young singer and ukulele player gained over 60ย million views of her audition within two days of it airing.ย
Grace will perform again on “Americaโsย Got Talent”ย during the live shows where she will compete for the votes of viewers.
Grace has been a musical wunderkind, her passion for singing and performing beginning at the tender age of 3 when she createdย her own songs for her family.
“Americaโs Got Talent”ย judges Simon Cowell and Howieย Mandel quickly picked up on her talents calling her โthe next Taylor Swiftโ and โa walkingย beautiful miracleโ in front of millions of viewers. Interviews with Rolling Stone magazine andย accolades from celebrities including Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcherย added to the viral social media craze that has catapulted her into internationalย stardom. Grace has multiple musical talents including song writing, alto saxophone and a littleย piano.
The Lafayette Theater would like to invite the entire community and any and all Graceย Vanderwaal fans to come together for this special free concert in support of our Suffern native.ย In addition to a two set performance, the event includes an exclusive Q&A with Grace.
Free concert tickets are available at the Lafayette Theater box office located at 97 Lafayetteย Avenue in Suffern, NY during box office hours. Monday-Friday 6:30-8 p.m., Sat/Sun 1:30-8 p.m.
