“Pippin” is a 1972 musical hit written by Stephen Schwartz. It is about a young prince who searches to find passion and adventure in his life. Pippin must prove his loyalty to his father, King Charlemagne, by going to war. Throughout the musical, Pippin is involved with many conflicts.  Eventually, Pippin meets Catherine, a widow with a young child, and he falls in love with her. Pippin must decide if he should live a peaceful life or one filled with magic.

The weekend of the spring musical will feature the students of Dominican College. Graduating senior, Jon Ameen, will be playing the role of Pippin. This will be his third year participating in the annual spring musical. Ameen says: “I am flattered that they wanted me to be Pippin.” Last year he was Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. The Aquin Players Director, Dr. James Filippelli, would like to recognize cast and crew members, both onstage and backstage, for all of their dedication. Adriana Shaw who is performing as, “Leading Player” stated: “Our crew is working really hard. I am also very proud of the cast.”
