District 2 Candidate: Paul C. Cleary, Democratic/Conservative

Paul C. Cleary was born the youngest of six children in 1960 in Haverstraw, New York. After going to secondary school in Rockland County, he attended Manhattan College in the Bronx, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then worked in the Defense Industry, completing projects for various contractors. In 2000, he joined Intel Corporation and has worked on software, telecom, servers, and worldwide sales initiatives, becoming well versed in modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and The Cloud. A longtime active presence in the community, Cleary has coached multiple area youth sports teams, has served on the Haverstraw Youth Board, and serves on the Zoning Board. He now lives in Garnerville with his wife of 36 years, Adrienne.

As a lifelong Democrat, Cleary says he “share(s) Haverstraw Democratic Party values.”  If elected to District 2 of the Rockland County Legislature, Cleary aims to ensure that Haverstraw is “no longer neglected by the county” and that they “get their share of state and county resources.”
