For the Rockland County area, weather forecasters are calling for three to five inches of snow beginning Saturday morning and lasting through Saturday evening or night. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory active from 8 a.m. Saturday morning through 6 a.m. Sunday morning.

Mall Suicide

On Christmas Eve, at approximately 10 p.m., a 36-year-old female identified as Bindu Mathew from Orangeburg committed suicide at the Palisades Center Mall. Video surveillance indicates she sat on top of a fourth-story railing and purposely pushed herself over.
