Some overzealous supporters of Congresswoman Nita Lowey put up posters calling Chris Day “the number one Jew hater” in Rockland. Day’s wife and child are both Jewish and he took great offense to the slur, which Lowey attempted to distance herself from. In the end Lowey defeated Day 56 – 44 percent.
