Hi-Tor Fetches Second Donation from GLC

Phillip E. Goldstein, managing partner of Goldstein Lieberman & Company LLC, presented a check to Robert Salmon, treasurer of the Hi-Tor Animal Care Center located next door to the Provident Bank Ball Park as part of the on-going Going Going Gone giveaway. According to the terms of the giveaway, every time the Rockland Boulders hit a home run, Goldstein Lieberman & Company gives $100 to a local charity. “It’s all part of our Goldstein Lieberman & Company Cares Program,” remarked Mr. Goldstein.

The Goldstein Lieberman & Company Cares program donates every month to a different not-for-profit. In 2011, the Rockland Business Association presented its prestigious Pinnacle Award for Corporate Citizenship to Goldstein Lieberman & Company largely for this initiative. Goldstein Lieberman & Company has thus far presented checks amounting to more than $260,000 to not-for-profits throughout the region since the inception of the Goldstein Lieberman & Company Cares program in 2009. Hi Tor Animal Care Center (www.hitor.org) is the only animal care and control center serving Rockland County. It accepts approximately 2500 animals every year and also offers program in care and training to the community. Hi-Tor is about to launch a capital campaign with a goal of $650,000 to upgrade its facility. This donation will be a first step toward the goal.
